There are three important communities that make up the ISWEP membership:
This is a Full Membership for the 45 Phase I and II Iowa communities that are required, by law, to have an NPDES Permit for stormwater management. These cities and universities are the reason this program was developed. So far, 32 communities have joined the ISWEP program and come to realize the convenience and economic benefit of its resources.

This is an Associate Membership for those agencies and organizations that are not required by law to get a permit but are actively involved with stormwater / clean water education and outreach activities throughout the state. There are four agencies that serve as Associate Members:
Johnson Soil and Water Conservation District
Linn Soil Conservation
Linn Soil and Water Conservation District
Polk Soil and Water Conservation DistrictÂ

This is a Supporting Membership for professional services and products that are actively involved with stormwater, clean water assistance, projects and implementation throughout the state. Currently, we have two supporting members:
