WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  Engineers, landscape architects, municipal staff, consultants, landscape designers, contractors, landscapers, horticulturalists, biologists, students and interested homeowners.  A special certificate of training in Rain Gardens for Managing Stormwater Quality” will be provided at the end of this event.

PROGRAM:  A technical training session that addresses rain garden function in the urban landscape,  essential design elements, construction and maintenance of this infiltration best management practice for storm water quality management.

Moving Targets: Understanding our Changing Landscapes

The landscape of the profession of landscape architecture is forever changing, evolving, and growing.  This conference will help to prepare professionals and students to navigate these changes by addressing emerging trends, technologies, and theories of the practice.  Some topics could include: green and sustainable technology and project management; environmentally friendly product usage; business and education for design-office employees; how companies can stay ahead of the curve and create new projects; computer technology and production of presentation and construction documents; and the importance of urban and open space environments in the 21st century.
